The Anglican Communion in Canada

The Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) is the Canadian branch of the Anglican Communion and is divided into four Ecclesiastical Provinces, which contain 29 dioceses.

Archbishop Fred Hiltz, formerly bishop of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, was elected as 13th Primate of the Anglican Church of Canada in June 2007.

Liturgy: The Book of Alternative Services (BAS) and supplementary resources are now available for download. In 2009, the Council of General Synod authorized the online publication of these texts. The goals are to assist liturgy planners and to encourage future web-based work of liturgical text development

The Anglican Journal is the monthly magazine of the Anglican Church of Canada and the current issue can be read here.

The Fellowship of the Maple Leaf (FML) "exists to promote links between the Church in Canada and the United Kingdom by furthering mutual learning in our engagement with each others' cultures."

It offers "individual bursaries to clergy, ordinands and lay people for study and sharing of experiences by Canadians coming to the UK and by people from the UK going to Canada."
